Postgraduate Studies

Hello friends, I hope you are well. Today I am going to talk to you about the postgraduate course that I would like to do when I finish my psychology degree. I would like to do a master's degree in clinical child and adolescent psychology. This postgraduate course lasts approximately 2 years, I want to do this course, firstly, because I love children very much and I have a connection with them since I was very young. Secondly, because I think it is a very interesting postgraduate course and thirdly I believe that the mental health of children and young people is very important, because when they grow up they will be responsible for the future, that is, they will be the future doctors, psychologists and engineers of the country. 

 

Among the subjects I would like to see during this course are theories of human development and psychopathology. On the other hand, I would like to do my graduate studies abroad at Istanbul University, in Turkey or in any country in Europe, such as Germany, France or Scotland. I would also like to study in part-time mode because I want to study, travel, meet and work at the same time. 

 

I would really like to do several postgraduate studies, such as a postgraduate degree in clinical psychology mentioning adults or in forensic psychology, because I consider psychology to be a very beautiful career that has many incredible areas of study to know.

I think that one of the mental problems that the confinement during the pandemic has generated in me are depressive episodes, sometimes I feel sad because I think that it is the best stage of our life and we are not taking full advantage of it. However, in order not to be sad or anxious, I cook, exercise, study, watch series and work some days of the week in a minimarket.  I think that the pandemic has affected not only on a health level, but also on an economic and social level. The pandemic has affected many families who need to go to work, also children or elderly people who need to go out and relax for a while, and it has also affected us students, because it is a big challenge to watch classes online. So, the pandemic has meant for many of us an exhausting and sad situation. When the pandemic is over, I would like to travel to Venezuela to reconnect with my family and friends, also to go to the beach, but most of all to enjoy the wonders that life has to offer.

Psychology is a very interesting, beautiful and diverse career in all its aspects, for this reason there are variety of postgraduate courses to choose, such as Forensic Psychology, Social Psychology and Neuropsychology. When I finish my degree, I would like to do a master’s degree in health and Clinical Psychology, because it is an area that strikes me by its focus on the investigation and treatment of all the factors that can generate discomfort in the mental health of individuals. When I finish my degree I would like to travel around the world and know different cultures and countries. Therefore, I would prefer to do my master’s degree abroad, in Europe, the United States or Australia part time, so that I can work and study at the same time. However, there is still a long way to go, but the important thing is to work hard to achieve our dreams.

Hi my name is Angela Rodríguez but my friends aslo call me Ange or Yela. I am 19 years old. I was born on June 5 of 2001 in Mérida, Venezuela. I have two sisters and a brother, my mother's name was Indira and my father's name is Jose.
